Sam Light and Aaron Hadlow in Turkey kiting at Ayvalik, Wakeboarding at Hypnotics cable. Filmed and edited by Andi Jansen. Big thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, Kite Zone Ayvalik, Arzu, and Kemal.
Aaron Hadlow has a 6 part series that he shot in South Africa over the winter. It was his mission to land the first 900 in kiteboarding so check out the website and stay tuned to see if he finally nails it.
Here is Episode 2, this is the first day that Aaron tries to nail the 900, the kickers were absolutely huge, so obviously some big wipe outs. You need some big kickers to get the height and rotation and on this day Big Bay was providing.
In Episode 3 Aaron heads up to an inland lake a couple of hours out of Cape Town with Ruben. He attempts to practice the 9 on a obstacle kicker, as it is stationary in theory is should be easier to line up and get the rotation, usually the wave is moving which is an added variable. See how it goes and if the RedBull kicker is the right set up to finally nail the trick here.
The 4th episode is from a session in Big Bay. On the way to the 900 Aaron also learnt a few other wake moves, managed a toe backside 7 and a mobe starting toeside and adding grabs.
Number 5 of 6 is here already, this video is all about how cable riding helps my kiteboarding and how using the kicker helps me practice the spin needed to land the 900.
As each lap is always the same and the kicker is in the same place you are able to learn quicker and find the right rotation, so check out the video see some of my latest cable riding on the corners, kickers and sliders.
Here is the final episode of the 900 series, this time Aaron decided to check out a different spot renowned for it's waves, usually it's a spot for wave riding but on this day the kickers seems to be firing.
The Progression team spent the first two months of 2011 in sunny & windy Cape Town. A firm outpost on the 'essential kiting destinations' list, Cape Town didn't fail to deliver again.
They had some awesome days of filming; one in particular being a day at the cable with

Co Guest Editor of Issue #30 and four times world champion Aaron Hadlow, lets us in on how he has progressed his riding and style in Brazil, it doesn't get any better than this.
With two consecutive world championships already in the bag, Aaron Hadlow couldn't wait to tuck into 2006 and took some time after the final event of the 2005 tour in Brazil to knock this little session together. It's crazy to think that he's had almost 18-months-worth of improvement since this movie!
