Feel the power! Exclusive to KWTV, Fat Sand introduce a cut from their Progression: Beginner DVD, taking you through the early stages of safe body-dragging
In drag: 1. The downwind body-drag can be done with the pilot either hooked-in or -out of the chicken-loop. 2. With arms out-stretched, pilot the kite down into the power zone. 3. At the bottom of the turn, pull on the opposite side of the bar to take the kite back up and across the power zone and over to the other side of the wind window. 4. When the kite reaches the other side of the wind window, once again redirect the kite down its original course. 5. The aim is to steer the kite in a figure of 8 motion across the whole wind window. You should get a big pull from the kite as it goes through the middle of the window. The lower the figure of 8 motion, the bigger the pull from the kite. 6. Lie on your stomach so you can skim across the water with little resistance. Keep your arms relaxed but extended with just the arm that is steering the kite, bent.
