Exclusive to KWTV, Fat Sand introduce a cut from their Progression: Beginner DVD, covering the essentials of good body position
The positions: 1. In lighter winds, your back leg should be slightly more bent than your front leg. Your arms should also be slightly bent, allowing you to fly the kite. Lean slightly on the heel-side edge and make sure your hips, shoulders and head are aligned with the direction of travel. 2. In stronger winds, your back leg can bend a little further than for light winds. More power from the kite means that your body is more stretched allowing your to get more weight against the kite, which in turn requires more pressure on the heel-side edge. Your arms should be stretched to depower the kite.
